This is Small Group PT

At Gym on the Square we provide a full Coaching experience, tailored to you, with the added benefit of exercising in very small groups of 4 like minded people to 1 Coach. We have a superb city centre non intimidating environment in which you can learn, build confidence and get stronger with our amazing Coaches and team of friendly staff.

Why you should Strength Train

After the age of 30 you begin to lose 3-8% of your muscle mass every decade which is scary and less muscle means greater weakness & less mobility which isn't ideal for when we age. If we strength train on a regular basis safely we reduce this massively and improve the quality of our lives as we age. In fact you can actually improve your life longevity by becoming stronger and add more than a decade onto your life span.

FAQs

How do I get to the gym?

We are based at 18a Charlotte Square with our exclusive private members entrance tucked away on Charlotte Lane, directly across from our friends at Indigo Yard and Betty's Bar. There is on street parking available nearby and public transport is easily accessible with tram stops nearby at Haymarket and Princes Street along with many bus routes going to/from west-end and Princes Street.

What are our opening hours?

Monday to Friday 5.45am - 7pm

Saturday - 7.45am to 12noon

Sunday - Closed

Can I use the gym over and above PT sessions?

Yes. Upon joining Gym on the Square you will be provided with your very own gym key along with access to our Gym on the Square app where you will find your tailored fitness plan to refer to when you exercise independently.Please note - You will only gain access to the Gym if you are a Small Group PT member.Please note, we do have Small Group PT Sessions taking place Monday to Saturday throughout the day, with double sessions running at popular times therefore we recommend you check the timetable and plan your independent workout during quieter times to ensure a more exclusive experience with full access to equipment.

How do I access the gym?

During standard opening hours with Coaches present in the gym you can enter by simply swiping your key fob at the entrance or buzzing the entry system if you do not yet have a key. If you wish to access the gym at an out of hours time, please ask a member of the team for an out of hours code, as the door will be double locked when coaches are not in the premises.

Do I have access to changing rooms & shower facilities?

We have 2 shower/changing rooms with basic shower toiletries in each and hairdryers which you can make use of if needed. We ask that you bring your own towel with you, however should you forget at any time then please ask and we can look to provide you with one for your visit.

What do I need to bring with me to sessions?

All you need is your gym kit and water bottle for PT sessions and you may want your mobile with you to access the gym app for keeping track of your workouts and progress. If you want to use our shower facilities afterwards then you may want to pack a towel.

Where can I store my belongings?

We have lockers in the gym that you can use to store your belongings whilst you are in sessions. These can be locked using your own padlock, or you can purchase a padlock from us for a small fee.
